The college shall remain closed- On Sunday and public holidays declared by the Government, Diwali or long vacations and on such other days, or in case of any calamities, as the Principal may declare from time to time.
Students will be issued Railway Concession forms for Season Tickets from the station nearest to their residence and Borivali station. Residential address given on the admission form will be taken as valid for this concession. It cannot be changed during the course of the year.
Students should pay the fees for the entire year in cash or demand draft at the authorized fees counter only at the time of admission, between 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. on working days only.
A Student is required to offer seven subjects at the F.Y.J.C.(Com) with each subject carrying 100 marks.
Students of S.Y.J.C. Commerce are required to offer the same combination of subjects as offered by them in the F.Y.J.C.

Marking systems and duration of the exams for all the subjects under science faculty will be displayed separately on the Notice Board.
E.V.S. / Educational / Study Project Tours : A firsthand knowledge and awareness to face the competitive business world around us is the prime objective of industrial tours & visits. A practical knowledge through primary sources is given regularly through local or outstation tours for students.
Projects will be given to the students based on the educational tour they visit, as arranged by the college. It is mandatory and no marks would be given for E.V.S in case of any absentee for the educational tour. E.V.S is no longer a graded subject. It is treated as a compulsory subject.
This subject is compulsory for all the students and is prescribed for 50 marks.

Students will be required to submit the Project work as per the schedule informed in the classroom or displayed on the Notice Board.
If a student fails to appear for the above examination or fails to submit the Project work he/she will be declared “FAIL” in the subject and consequently in the Board examinations.

Total of 100 marks (first term 50 marks + second term 50 marks) will be converted into total of 50 marks for the purpose of Final Evaluation.
Grading pattern is given below:
1. 30 and above - A
2. 23 to 29 - B
3. 18 to 22 - C
4. Below 17 - D
1. A candidate must secure minimum 35 marks out of 100 marks in each of the subject offered.
2. Result of the F.Y.J.C. is decided by giving equal weight age to all the tests and examinations. The final result of the student will be decided on the basis of average marks [(a+b) ÷2], in each subject.
3. If a candidate appearing in all six subjects, fails in one or more subjects, his/her deficiency of marks in one or more subjects to a maximum of 30 marks but not exceeding 10 marks in any one subject, shall be condoned, for the purpose of passing the examination as per Government rules.
4. Due consideration will be given to the term-work such as tutorials, practical and home assignments and attendance, discipline etc.
3. It will be the responsibility of the student to appear for all the four exams (written as well as oral) and submit the project work as per the schedule informed in the classroom or displayed on the college Notice Board. Under no circumstances will the college be responsible if a student fails to appear at the above four examinations or fails to submit the project work.
4. It will be mandatory for a student to appear for all the oral exams, compulsorily. Attendance for the written exam is also compulsory. If a student fails to do so, he will be reported “ABSENT” and no marks will be assigned to him/her .The college will also not be held responsible, if a student fails to appear for the oral exam and no re-exam shall be conducted.
If a student is found copying or using unfair means in any paper/subject at an examination, the student will be punished as per the existing board rules. In case a student has got an ATKT in two subjects, he/she can provisionally be admitted at F.Y.J.C. as per Govt. norms provisionally subject to passing his/her SSC or equivalent exams.
A student failing in more than two subjects at the S.S.C. or equivalent exam will not be admitted to any class of FYJC. After admission the student will have to clear his/her ATKT’s in the subsequent 2 exams held by the Board. If the candidate fails to clear the S.S.C. exam, his result of F.Y.J.C. will be withheld and his/her admission stands cancelled.
Students failing at the examination of the First Year of Junior College, i.e. Higher Secondary Std. XI are permitted to appear externally for the F.Y.J.C. Examination, in the next March or thereafter. However, the question paper of such students shall be set on an entire syllabus for Std XI for the subject/s concerned. Such students are permitted to rejoin the Junior College and appear as regular students by paying regular fees, if they desire.
