Eligibility Rules For Degree College
  • Student who has passed the H..SC of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education will be admitted to the First Year Class of the Degree College.
  • Student who has passed H.S.C Examination from other boards or equivalent examination will have to produce a provisional Eligibility Certificates of Mumbai University. They should then submit other certificates as required by the University of Mumbai before the end of the first term and obtain Final Eligibility Certificates. No student will be allowed to appear in the examination unless & until he obtains this eligibility certificate.

1Holidays

The college shall remain closed- On Sunday and public holidays declared by the Government, Diwali or long vacations and on such other days, or in case of any calamities, as the Principal may declare from time to time.

2 Railway Concession:

Students will be issued Railway Concession forms for Season Tickets from the station nearest to their residence and Borivali station. Residential address given on the admission form will be taken as valid for this concession. It cannot be changed during the course of the year.

3Payment of The Fees

Students should pay the fees for the entire year in cash or demand draft at the authorized fees counter only at the time of admission, between 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. on working days only.

4 Attendance
As per Maharashtra S.S.C and H.S.C Exam Board Regulation No. 88(1), a student is required to keep 75% attendance in each term, in each subject. The students are required to keep 75% attendance at the Lecture delivered in the first term and the second term separately. The students failing to fulfill the required attendance shall be DETAINED and shall not be allowed to appear in University Examination.

Absence on medical grounds should be supported by a medical certificate, or by satisfactory reasons/evidence, in case of non-medical grounds. In case there is no proper evidence, the Management and/or the principal has the right to take strict action against the individual concerned.

Applications in all such cases must reach the Principal within a week of such absence and the students shall report to the Principal immediately on resuming. A list of attendance defaulters will be put up on the notice board each month and also at the end of each term. If a student who, for any reason whatsoever, is not able to attend the college for at least 25% of the total number of working days in any given month, is liable for disciplinary action including his/her name being struck off from the college roll.

A student whose attendance is consistently below 75% will not be permitted to appear for the Unit Test / Term exam or Annual Examination and his/her terms will not be granted, which may be noted by the students and parents.

The college seeks to cultivate the concept of punctuality in the minds of the students. The students are expected to be in their lecture-rooms before the commencement of the first lecture every day. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the college premises and habitual latecomers will be defaulted in attendance as well. In addition to the attendance, a student must also show satisfactory progress and good conduct and behavior.

Procedure of Admission For Senior College

  • 1. Admission to F.Y.B.com. class will commence after the declaration of the H.S.C Examination results. Admissions to other classes will start after the declaration of results of the respective qualifying examination.
  • 2. Any gap in the academic career of an applicant must be supported by documentary evidence.
  • 3. Students seeking admission should apply in person during the hours notified for the purpose.
  • 4. The admission of the candidate is made by the Principal or by a professor Incharge/Supervisor. No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless it is granted by the authority of the Principal and necessary fees have been received by the College. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any student without assigning any reason there to. In other words notwithstanding eligibility for admission, the Principal can refuse admission if the conduct of a student has not been up to the mark during the previous year.
  • 5. All admissions are valid only for one academic year and will have to be renewed by a fresh application for every subsequent year of study in the College.
  • 6. The student will have to confirm his/her admission by paying the required fees on the given day, failing which the admission will automatically stand cancelled.
  • 7. Admissions are provisional until Enrolment Certificate / Final Eligibility Certificate/Transfer Certificate is submitted to the College within the prescribed period as laid down by the University of Mumbai.
  • 8. Normally a student of this college who has qualified himself/herself for admission to a higher class will be admitted to such a class, provided an application for this purpose in the prescribed form, duly filled in has been received with necessary fees within the notified period, with three passport size photographs.
  • 9. Once a student is admitted to the college he/she shall be liable to pay the full fees for both the terms together.
  • 11.A student once admitted will be considered as duly enrolled for the academic year No fees will be refundable after admission.
  • 12. For admission to any class, it is necessary to produce in original, the following documents:
  • The Passing Certificate of the last examination passed.
  • Statement of Marks
  • ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the Head of the Institution last attended in the case of the students joining S.Y./ T.Y.B.Com. Class.
  • ‘Transfer Certificate’ in the case of students passing an Examination other than the H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune or an examination of any University other than the University of Mumbai as the case may be.

Subject List- Semester Wise

NOTE: Subjects for the 3rd year (Vth & VI th Semester) are subject to change as per the guidelines issued by the University of Mumbai. For details refer the College Notice Board.

Eligibility:
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) Degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt.

Every candidate admitted to the Degree Course in the constituent /affiliated college / recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself / herself with the University.
 
Eligibility:
Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements for B.Sc. (IT)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science – Information Technology, shall have passed XII standard Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subject and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate and 40%marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category, at one and the same sitting.

Or

Candidates who have passed diploma in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science/Computer Technology/ Information Technology/ Electrical, Electronic and Allied Branches, Mechanical and Allied Branches, Civil and Branches ofEngineering after S.S.C (Xth) are eligible for direct admission to the Second year of the B.Sc.(IT) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body. Minimum Marks required 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.

And

Students with post H.S.C – Diploma in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology and allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (IT).

However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.

Note:-Students seeking admission for FY BAF, BSC(IT) or BBI, will have to first enroll online with Mumbai University. Admission will be regularized only after it is enrolled with Mumbai University.

1. There shall be five questions each of 15 marks.
2. All questions shall be compulsory with internal choice within the question
3 .Question may be sub-divided into sub-questions a,b,c,d & e only and the
4. Allocation of marks depends on the weight age of the topic.
Standard Of Passing

The learner shall have to obtain a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate to qualify each course where the course consists of internal Assessment & Semester End Examination. However, the learners shall obtain minimum of 40% marks i.e.10 out of 25 in the internal Assessment and i.e. 30 out of 75 in Semester End Examination separately.

Method To Carry Forward The Marks/strong>

1. A learner who PASSES in the assessment but FAILS the Semester End Examination of the Courses shall reappear for the Semester End Examination of that Course. However his/her marks of the Internals Assessment shall be carries over and he/she shall be entitled for grades obtained by him/her on passing of the complete cours

2. A learner FAILS in the Internal Assessment but PASSES in the Semester End Examination of the Courses shall reappear for the projects for that course. However his/her marks of the Internals Assessment shall be carried over and he/she shall be entitled for grades obtained by him/her on qualifying of the complete course.


ATKT (ALLOWED TO KEEP TERM)

B.Com (A & F)/ B.Com (B & I)/ BMS

1. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of number of courses of failure in the Semester I.
2. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passes each of Semester I and Semester II OR a learner fails in not more than two courses of Semester I and Semester II taken together.
3. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of number of courses of failure in Semester III. However, the learner has to pass each of Semester I and Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV
4. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester V if he/she passes Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV OR A learner shall pass Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than two courses of Semester III and Semester IV taken together.
5. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester VI irrespective of number of courses of failure in the Semester V.
6. The learner can appear for the semester VI examination but the result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance.
ATKT Rules for B. Sc (IT) as per University Guidelines

1. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester II irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester I.

2. A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester III if he/she passes (grade ‘E’or above in each course) each of Semester I and Semester II

Or

He/she fails in not more than three courses, in each of Semester I and Semester II (For all subjects, carrying 900 or more marks).

A learner shall be allowed to keep term for Semester IV irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester III.  However learner has to pass either of Semester I or Semester II in order to appear for Semester IV.

Project Evaluation (WHEREVER APPLICABLE)
1.A student who passes in all the courses but does not secure minimum grade of E in project as applicable has to resubmit a fresh project till he/she secures a minimum of grade E.
2.The credit and the grade point secured by him/her in the other courses will be carried forward and he/she shall be entitled for grades obtain by them on passing of all the courses.
3. The evaluation of the project and viva/voce examination shall be done by marks only and then it will be converted into grade in seven point scale and award the same to the learner.
4. A learners shall have to obtain minimum of grade E (or its equivalent marks) in project evaluation and viva/voce taken together to obtain 40% marks in project work.

Attendance

A per the new directives received from the University of Mumbai, attendance will have to be marked for every lecture, the student attendance not less than 75% of lectures in a term in his/her respective class, failing which the student will be disqualified or debarred from appearing in the Final Examination / Internal Examination conducted by the college.
